webfetch

Styling CLI programs is a hassle. Let's use our browser!

An example of webfetch running on Chromium

Why did you make this?

In a message that wasn't directed to me, izder456 asked someone if they saw their new project. It was exfetch running via the web. This intrigued me enough to try it myself given that templates where not in use.

Does crystal have a templating thing like Go or other languages

either way now i have the idea, thanks :)

Now we are here, a Go program that creates an HTML page with your systems fetch information.

How do I build and install this?

Currently, this only supports Linux systems because I have no way of testing tools on other operating systems. Feel free to use exfetch-web should you want to use something that verifiably works on not just Linux.

make install should do the trick, but make sure to specify the PREFIX lest you are fine with installing it to /usr/local.

Where can I find this project?

This projects official repository lies on Codeberg.
